Also, If you would get a message to his family, Joe had a video tape of mine it was part of a series of tapes on relationships with Dr. Smiley. I would like to have it back of course at the families ealiest convienence and provided they find it amung his belongings.

Pastor Gary-
Today at work we responded to a 25 year old man who was extremely depresssed and tried to hang himself. As he kicked the chair out from underneath himself, Monrovia Police cut him free. By the time the fire department got to him he said he was tired of living and wanted to end it all. As we got him in the ambulance, I began to minister to him, his spirit was so broken. I shared with him that he was at a crossroads and GOD had put me there to help him. As we talked on the way to the hospital, I began sharing my testimony and telling him who Jesus was and is. As we arrived at the ER, I led him in the sinners prayer, he gave his life to JESUS, thank GOD. At the hospital, he was transformed into a new creature already, the tears had dried up and his sorrow became laughter. I hope and pray that Aaron, will take his new life and do many great things for the kingdom of GOD. I am extremely humbled and honored to do Gods will as he pleases. Please keep our new brother in your thoughts and prayers.....The Angels are rejoicing today.....another one added to the book of life!!! Thank you GOD for everything you do and continue to do, we give you all the glory and honor and praise. Blessed be the name of our Lord Jesus Christ the savior.
Forever and ever. Amen.

Christian Family Burned to Death in Pakistan After Koran is 'Defiled'
Monday, August 03, 2009

Print ShareThisParamilitary troops patrolled the streets of a town in eastern Pakistan yesterday after Muslim radicals burned to death eight members of a Christian family, raising fears of violence spreading to other areas.

Hundreds of armed supporters of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, an outlawed Islamic militant group, burned dozens of Christian homes in Gojra over the weekend after allegations that a copy of the Koran had been defiled.

The mob opened fire indiscriminately, threw gas bombs and looted houses as thousands of frightened Christians ran for safety. “They were shouting anti-Christian slogans and attacked our houses,” Rafiq Masih, a resident of the predominantly Christian colony, said. Residents said that police stood aside while the mob went on the rampage. “We kept begging for protection, but police did not take action,” Masih said.

Police and local officials said that at least eight people, including four women and a child, were killed in the fires. Two others died of gunshot wounds. Residents said that the casualties were much higher; one claimed that the number of dead could be in the dozens as many bodies were still buried under the rubble. Shahbaz Bhatti, the Minister for Minorities, said that 40 Christian homes were torched in rioting. He said there was no truth to allegations that a Koran had been defiled, and accused the police of ignoring his appeal to provide protection to Christians.

Tension started mounting last week after Muslims accused three Christian youths of burning a copy of the Koran. They denied the allegations, but clerics called for their death. On Saturday, hundreds of supporters of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, an outlawed Sunni sectarian group, poured into the town from surrounding districts. The group is believed to have close links with Al Qaeda and has been involved in several terrorist attacks targeting security forces in recent years.

Television footage showed armed men running through the streets, gunfire, and women and children wailing. Blackened furniture lay outside burning homes, while a group of people rushed a man suffering from burns on a cart through the streets. Rehman Malik, the Interior Minister, said that the paramilitary troops were sent after police and the local administration failed to control the situation. Security forces were also placed on high alert to prevent violence from spreading to other towns of Punjab.

Just tickled to see your picture, Dr Phillips, after roughly 22 years and to find you at Calvary Assembly. Wonder if you remember us (you married us in May 1987) and we are getting ready to celebrate 22 years of marriage? God Bless you and continued thanks for all you taught us.
Most Sincerely,

To whom it may concern,

I am in need of some advice. There is a new restaurant that just opened in Pasadena called the Spitfire Saloon. They are advertising it as a family restaurant and they do have a kids menu. However, the owner decided to hang large photographs of topless pinup girls in the men’s room. I actually heard about this from a young man, who is not a parent and yet was enraged at how inappropriate these photographs are. He was completely shocked and offended. So, as a parent who could have easily taken my young son to the restaurant and had him use the men’s room, you can imagine how much more enraged and offended I am. I feel the need to warn other parents and put the pressure on the owners to either take down the topless posters or at least warn parents that this is not a family friendly restaurant. What can be done? Are there internet sites where parents can be warned? Can phone calls and complaints be made to the restaurant and the corporate office? Please help me. I need any advice you can give me.

Thank you so much for you time and all that you do for children.

WORLD WIDE SOUL WINNING MINISTRY is a Kenyan based registered public voluntary non-profit making organization situated in Bungoma District Western Province of Kenya East Africa.

Wwswm is made up of believers in the faith and are committed to support and improve the livelihood of the community through partnership, collaboration and participatory methodologies as a means towards poverty eradication and spiritual development.

What is Wwswm Vision?

In many of the developing countries of the world the training facilities available to Christian pastors are woefully inadequate. An emphasis on mass evangelism, and a shortfall in the availability and standard of training for poorer and less educated pastors, impoverishes the church. It is now vital therefore to increase and improve the understanding of Biblical theology and the application of scriptural principles to the whole of daily life.

Wwswm’s vision is to assist and encourage the training of pastors so that, through their preaching of the Word of God, congregations not only become aware of the full implications of being a Christian but are well-grounded in the Faith.

A pastor in Africa today faces a tainting prospect. This vast majority of church leaders have little or no training, no follow-up support, many live in dire poverty, witchcraft, corruption, refugees, AIDS orphans, civil conflicts and genocide they are realities of the environment most are obliged to work in. Despite this, the gospel reaches millions of suffering Africans. But once the seed of salvation are planted, who is there to water them?

Countless churches are rife with confusion as the Gospel is corrupted by power struggles, superstition, tribal divisions, fake teaching and even violence.

For these reasons with an aim to reach out to pastors, saints and church leaders,Wwswm decided to hold training and seminars in and without the Country. We found many of these attending tried, discouraged and stagnant in their ministry, some even at the point of abandoning their calling altogether.

Many Pastors and church leaders attending the Wwswm conferences after being initially encouraged by the gospel message, realized the state of their own lives and asked for continuing help, support and spiritual direction, the team recognized an immediate need to establish a place where these pastors could come and live for 2-3 months to be restored, encouraged and equipped so that their desire for refreshing could be fulfilled as they spent time with different ministry gifts at the center.

Plans have been finalized to build a resource center in Bungoma Kenya East Africa at the moment we have ten pastors from within the locality but are trusting God for resources so that our dream for reaching other pastors and even to from other countries is reached, it is our dream that through Gods mercies we are going to experience his victory.

Therefore on behalf of the organization and other partners I take this opportunity to write and request your organization to partner with us in spiritual development and provide us with both financial aid and technical assistance in terms of missionary, materials and any other resource valuable to support this vital programmes.

I hope our request will reach you and your urgency with a positive development and a future partnership in supporting

Wwswm.

Thank you.

Yours Sincerely,

Pastor Vincent Wanyonyi,

I am a 54-year-old minister of the Gospel from Nigeria. I am a pentecostal minister. I have been a preacher and teacher of God's Word for about 35 years. I am currently in the United States doing missionary work and also writing some Christian books. I would very much like to email some information about my books to whoever may want it. I am really delighted to learn something about your church in the internet. And if the Lord Jesus permits, I would be very pleased to fellowship and worship together with you Christians sometime in the near future.

Thank you so much and may God continue to richly bless and prosper you all in Jesus name. Amen.
